A little bit about your celebrant

My name is Paul J Rose and I have been a voice over artist and presenter for over thirty years. I got my start in hospital radio in 1989 and, since then, have presented on satellite radio, community stations and even enjoyed a short spell aboard a pirate radio ship off of the coast of Tel Aviv in Israel.

These days I host a weekly show which is syndicated around the world and work mainly as a voiceover artist.

The World of Voiceover

As a voice actor, I’ve voiced everything from the humble telephone greeting of small businesses through to animated characters that you can currently see on Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky.

As much as I love playing with characters and accents, the voice that gets called upon most frequently is my own – a blend of warm, ensuring and playful. Other people simply refer to it as “Dad Voice”, and I like that.

How I Became a Celebrant

I’ve always loved presenting. As an MC I’ve hosted The British Wedding Awards, The NHS Staff Excellence Awards, local rock festivals, corporate team building days and much more.

It was my wife who suggested I look into the world of celebrants. I discovered the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and took their course at the beginning of 2023.

It certainly wasn’t easy, but that’s mainly because I discovered that I had Covid on Day 2. That’s why the photograph of our graduating class has me on a laptop as I completed the course from home.

I Love a Celebration

Whether it’s presenting an award, letting a team know they’ve won a quiz or, of course, marrying two wonderful people, I’ve always worked hard to make everyone feel like a superstar.

Every one of us deserves to be the star of the show at least once in our lives, and that’s what I do for my clients. I work to create an environment that feeds off of the natural joy being shared by everyone there. You’ll be the centre of attention at a celebration that truly is all about you, and it’s my pleasure to make that happen.

Not Just a Celebrant

As an MC, I’m also happy to be the toastmaster at your party too. No red jackets and formality – I’m just there to keep the wedding breakfast flowing and make every speech maker feel comfortable and special.
